PCT – Hyatt Lake to Greensprings Summit

We did the hike with the usual shuttle and enjoyed decent temperatures until just before the end. With the temperature rising we took frequent breaks to cool off in the shade.

Our favorite lunch spot, the 19 hiker log, was unavailable as carpenter ants had destroyed it.

On the trail we met many PCT hikers coming in the opposite direction. They all were in good moods and one was ecstatic when Jeff gave him an apple.

After the hike we had refreshments at Kerr Manor.
