Lost Creek Lake – Marina to Hole in the Ground

We were missing many of our usual crew due to travel etc. so I cancelled the shuttle I had planned to use. Instead we started at Payton Bridge and hiked the 3 miles return to the Falls. The weather was perfect after a chilly early morning and we were soon taking off our jackets. The Falls were attractive in the bright sun, filtered through the trees.

We finished that walk by noon and I decided to find a deluxe venue for lunch. We found a picnic table at the campgrounds and enjoyed the fine weather, flush toilets etc. We chilled out for some time then hiked a few miles around the area, finishing at a parking spot I found a few years ago.

We were back in time to enjoy some wine and cheese at Kerr Manor. All agreed it was a fine AHG day.
