Applegate Lake

A hardy group of 14 joined us for the hike. We used a shuttle to start at one trailhead and finish at another. This allowed us to do more of the Payette Trail and get in around 8 miles.

We hiked to Panther Point and back to Hal’s Point for lunch where we lingered longer than usual in the sun. There was very little water in most of the Lake but much more near the dam. The weather was near perfect after driving through fog to get there.

We all enjoyed beer and fries at Boomtown. The sunny and warm weather had everyone in a good mood.
