Hal’s Point:
We started at the French Gulch trailhead and took the Calsh trail up to the Dagelma trailhead in order to get the uphill portion of the hike out of the way before lunch.

We ate lunch in comfort at a picnic table at Hal’s point above an empty portion of Applegate Reservoir. Weather was partly sunny and reasonably warm.

We stopped at the Good Bean in Jacksonville for refreshments
