Easy drive to the TH of about 2 hours except for a couple of fairly deep water bars on NF 450. We were hiking by 10:00 and on top by 12:30. However, we didn’t linger there very long because of a very refreshing 10 – 15 MPH 50oF breeze. We retreated back down a bit to the shelter of a rock outcropping for an Annie lunch in the sun and out of the wind with nice views of Diamond Lake and Mt. Thielsen.

Refreshment was taken at the Rogue River Lodge.
