Mt Bailey
We started out our hike under clear skies and temperatures in the high 50’s. Our driver was able to get close to the trailhead, which was no easy task due to a very rough road. As a result, we headed up the south eastern side of the mountain.
The views of Mount Thielsen, Diamond Lake, Mt. Scott and Mt. McLoughlin were amazing for more than 3/4th. of the hike up to the top. This is one of the tougher hikes, but the rewards are incredible. Lunch was taken at the summit with 360 degree views of the world, since there was no smoke to be seen. Refreshments were taken at the Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurant in Medford.
