Watershed Loop

Happy New Year – It is a new day, a new year and a new decade.

So 13 of us took a short drive and hiked in the Ashland Watershed to start off the new year on the right (or maybe left) foot. The weather gods were kind to the group, thus no rain happened during the hike. It was amazing how many other hikers and runners were also in the watershed. We even saw four bikers, who slowed down as they passed us, being very polite.

The hike ended up being a bit longer and included more elevation gain than originally planned, but the group took the hills with ease.

Most of us then went to Standing Stone for lunch. This turned out to be the perfect way to bring in the new year.
