Hald/Strawberry Park – Ashland Hiking Group

It was raining and all were grateful for any rain in Ashland, Oregon. Six of us started off at the Logan Drive cul-de-sac and climbed up the steps and trail to Hald/Strawberry Park. We circled the park, admiring the wet madrone trees, and then headed east on the ditch trail. We diverted onto a spur down to Granite Street and then returned hiking on the ditch trail. At the end of the ditch trail, we turned around and took the ditch trail back to Logan. A highlight of the return was spotting a rainbow above the hills on an otherwise gray day. (4.0 miles)
