Upper Rogue River Trail
We had 8 hikers willing to brave the rain to see the fall leaf colors along the Upper Rogue River Trail. We started at Woodruff Bridge and hiked along seeing beautiful leaves in various stages of light green, yellow, orange, rust and red. We also saw mushrooms popping out of the ground.
After a few miles, we ran into Bob who had gotten a late start and didn’t recognize any of the cars at the trailhead so he started around the Natural Bridge coming the opposite direction. We started to make our way down to Knob Falls, but the ground was too muddy and slippery. From there, we went back up and across a bridge and stopped at each of the lookouts along the Natural Bridge.
It never stopped raining so we looked for some trees to take cover and eat our lunch. That was probably the shortest lunch I have seen the group take. After lunch, we turned around and headed back to the cars.
