Lower Rogue
Perfect sun. Perfect temperatures. We were rewarded with conditions whereby we started with winter garb and finished in shirtsleeves.
The trail was dry and in good shape, with a couple of pieces of deadfall that were easily dealt with. There was very little water across the trail.
A big log had fallen across the open space at Whiskey Creek and it afforded a good lunch venue.
Strangely enough, for a popular hike on a marvelous day, we met absolutely no one on the trail. We finished in good spirits with tired legs. Mike Le Tourneau earned extra credit for moving a heavy log off of a water crossing. We thought he might do cartwheels on the log but were disappointed.
Badinis in Merlin turned out to be closed so we enjoyed a beer at Kerr Manor, devouring a large amount of popcorn.
