Viewpoint Mike
We escaped the fog of Ashland and found ourselves in brilliant sunshine at the TH. The trail was in good shape up to Viewpoint Mike where we took the group pic. Then we went through the woods to the cliff above the former quarry, running into some deadfall that was easily dealt with.
By the time we arrived there for lunch the weather was pushing 50 degrees and we decided to chill out for a good half hour in the sun.
We then did a quick march down to the TH, meeting a few people and dogs. A good time was had by all. Half of the hikers had never done this one and they liked it.
A few of us retired to 4 Daughters in Medford for refreshments.
