Grizzly Peak
Grizzly was a popular destination on Friday but it didn’t bother us on the hike. The weather was perfect. Hikers might consider doing the loop counter clockwise because just before the top there is loose stone and dirt that is easier when going up than going down.
There was some smoke in the vast views from the lookout. The actual views were outstanding as usual and we chilled out for a while. We had lunch at a cool spot in the woods near the summit.
We were surprised how lush the wooded areas are on the ascent and the number of flowers.
The hike was capped off with a visit to Caldera where some of us still struggled with their automated order system. Finally a few of us just went up to the bar and the barman served us.
