Castle Crags to Indian Springs via the Flume Trail
Seven of us headed south to hike up the Flume Trail to Indian Springs at Castle Crags. The weather was perfect to be outside hiking. Although the hike is almost 10 miles, it is a relatively moderate hike and the trail was in excellent shape.
The hike up is a bit longer to Indian Springs, but the trip down is much shorter, so all of the challenging part is done before lunch. Indian Springs was delightful and we took a relaxing lunch. We did pass some wild Azaleas in bloom along the way and one dogwood, plus a few smaller flowers. There were a few creeks to cross but they were small and of no challenge.
It was great to reconnect with friends we have not seen in many months.
