Jack Ash Trail – Greenstone TH to Anderson Ridge TH
It was a beautiful day and a scenic destination so 18 hikers did the Anderson Ridge Trail. Nothing much to say other than the pictures will speak for themselves. There was lots of lively conversation, a sure sign that everyone was enjoying themselves. No one got lost finding the TH, although a few pot holes had to be dealt with. Lunch was allowed to go on for a 1/2 hour as our hikers soaked in the views.
One change along the way was a new sign with a marked picture naming all the mountain peaks. I found out my orientation had been entirely wrong and the trail goes West to East, with the far mountains to the South. So Greyback Mountain was to the extreme right and what I had taken for Greyback was Red Butte. Who knew? What we had taken to be the coastal mountains were in the Red Butte Wilderness where we hike regularly.
We celebrated the end of a fine day at the Pump House in Talent.
