Little Grayback Trail to Squaw Peak
Seven intrepid hikers made the trek to the top on Squaw Peak in spite of predictions of rain and wind. The trip up was very pleasant with mostly sun and a little wind. Lunch at the lookout was bathed in sun and fine in the lee of the building. (Dan tells us that it is being refurbished and will be available for rent in the future.)
The trip down was devoid of rain (so says the interim leader) although the icy pellets falling from the sky occasionally might have been interpreted otherwise.
Refreshments were taken at Boomtown with an order of onion rings included in honor of our missing leader. Somehow we managed to eat them all without his contribution. We hope that he is enjoying all the birds that he is seeing!
