Applegate Lake
We found ourselves in Applegate on a beautiful sunny day. We split the group in two and each group started from the opposite end of the lake. We met for lunch at Hal’s point and switched car keys so we wouldn’t need a shuttle. It was good to not have to retrace our steps and do the whole 9 miles of the lake in one direction. Using a shuttle just takes too long so Hank and John just switched cars.
We planned everything strategically so that the meeting place afterwards was Boomtown in Jacksonville and the first group to arrive ordered the fries. Altogether a most satisfying day. We were delayed a short time by a photoshoot of various yoga poses in a tree but I won’t reveal the model. It obviously wasn’t me as I cannot even imagine what I would look like doing snappy yoga poses, let along in a tree. Joe Moeller from the Monday Group joined us for the first time on a Wednesday hike.
